The funniest cozy fantasy I’ve read in years. “Bromantasy” follows Juniper and Mo, two best friends who inadvertently find themselves forced to join a quest to capture and kill adult dragons after one of them injures the real quest-er during a drunken fight. But the dragons are oddly shaped as a lost, little girl. Or as Taylor Swift has put it, “the monsters turned out to be just trees.” And so starts the real quest, and the real love that blooms between two friends who couldn’t be any more different.
Juniper and Mo were so engaging to follow. If you’re looking for a queer, cozy read (and, honestly, if you’re a D&D or Pathfinder enthusiast), search no further. The only reason why I didn’t rathe this higher was because Juniper would get on my nerves at times, but it is definitely worth powering through.
